Un protocol obliga a respectar el pla de residus de la Vall
El document signat l’any 2005 per representants del PPCV, PSPV-PSOE i Bloc els comprometia a mantenir aquesta iniciativa

Un protocol signat el 2005 pels llavors màxims responsables del PPCV, PSPV-PSOE i Bloc ha obligat el Consell perquè modifique el pla zonal per respectar el pla de residus de la Vall d’Albaida ja que el protocol comprometia a aquests partits a fer respectar des del govern de la Generalitat Valenciana iniciatives com el pla de minimització de residus de la Vall d’Albaida.
En el seu moment, aquest protocol va ser plantejat com «un gran pacte per evitar problemes en la gestió de residus», i exposava en el seu apartat tercer que «en l’execució dels plans zonals es respectaran totes les iniciatives que, individualment oa través de mancomunitats , hagin iniciat els ajuntaments respecte a la implantació d’un gestió adequada dels seus residus dins de l’ordenança i el marc legal vigent ».
L’acord va ser exposat al ple de l’Ajuntament d’Ontinyent per la regidora de Territori, Rebeca Torró, en el punt en què es parlava de les al · legacions a la taxa imposada pel Consorci de Residus i que van ser aprovades de manera unànime per tots els grups.
Torró ha explicat que aquest paràgraf «es va incloure precisament per la Vall d’Albaida, l’única comarca que tenia un pla de minimització de residus» i en el mateix document s’explicava que en aquells casos en què hi hagi contradiccions en la planificació o apareguin dificultats per executar les previsions d’un pla zonal la Generalitat «ha de modificar el pla zonal en aquell aspecte que ocasions problemes per a la seva execució».
El portaveu popular i expresident de la Mancomunitat, Filiberto Tortosa, ha assegurat que sota el seu mandat «es va defensar el pla de minimització».
En aquest sentit ha assenyalat que el PP d’Ontinyent «seguirà apostant perquè, conforme es va aprovar l’any 1999 en el pla de minimització de la comarca, el tractament i l’eliminació dels residus que generem siguin encarregats a la Mancomunitat i no es gestionin des de fora, des del consorci ».
L’alcalde de la ciutat, Jorge Rodríguez, va fer una crida perquè sigui «en seu parlamentària i no judicial on s’arribi a la solució que es necessita per a un problema que és polític, en el qual uns tenen més responsabilitat que altres i on es té a veure la capacitat del partit amb majoria absoluta per modificar aquesta ordre ».
Mentre el regidor d’EU, Manuel Ruiz, va assenyalar que «es vol canviar un model de recollida i tractament de residus que hem anat teixint a la comarca durant anys i ara el canvi que ens plantegen canvia el model mediambiental i augmenta els preus per la prestació de serveis ».
Per la seva banda, el regidor de Medi Ambient, Fran Quesada, va fer referència a nombrosos detalls de la taxa on «a part de la desproporció dels preus» el consorci determina una reestructuració dels ecoparcs que «incompleix normes».
