Cecilia de L’Olleria,  y hasta la celebración del “XXI Festival Liberto Benet”, se irán reproduciendo en este portal una serie de artículos y entrevistas  obra y cortesía de Pepe Aparici.  Hoy reproducimos las entrevistas trás el «I Festival de Bandas, Memorial Liberto Benet», del 5 de Octubre de 1991

Javier Benet Martínez.

–       Javi, ¿Cómo era musicalmente tu hermano?

–       Era una maravilla. Un tío fácil, muy fácil. Tengo que ser sincero. Yo aunque era mucho menor que él, le he visto pocas veces estudiar. Es que era un tío facilísimo. El instrumento que cogía, el clarinete, el saxo… Cuando se presentó a las oposiciones de la Orquesta Municipal de Valencia, en muy poco tiempo cogió el Fagot  y a tocarlo de maravilla. Igual le daba que fuese un compositor que otro cualquiera. Y “jazz”, en el saxo también una maravilla.

Antes de marcharme a Madrid, estuve con él en el grupo que teníamos “Xe Quartet” y repito, era un tío facilísimo, para toda clase de música.

–       L’Ollería, le quería. ¿Cómo era Liberto?

–       Ha sido una pérdida… Yo hoy lo he pasado mal. Lo paso mal sobre todo cuando oigo su música… Es muy fuerte. Lo paso muy mal.

–       ¿Liberto era de todos?

–       Sí. Y además a mí particularmente me animaba y me ayudaba mucho siempre. Fíjate que nos llevábamos diez años de diferencia, que normalmente no se tiene contacto. En él yo siempre tuve una ayuda moral.  Siempre estaba ahí.  Mi hermano siempre estaba ahí.

–       ¿Qué ha significado para ti  la iniciativa de hacerle estos festivales anuales?

–       Particularmente me ha gustado mucho. Es una forma de seguir ligado a mi pueblo, ya que venir a las fiestas… una veces puedes pero otras no puedes. De esta manera me apetecerá venir cada año a ver que pasa por aquí, y será una forma de seguir ligado a mi pueblo. La verdad es que cuando me fui de L’Ollería, prácticamente perdí el contacto con todo, menos en unas cuantas personas amigas. Al volver Liberto, volví yo.  Volví a tocar en la Banda en certámenes y fiestas. Estoy retornando a mi pueblo de nacimiento. Será una forma de estar aquí cada año. Me tendréis aquí de cuando en cuando, ya que estoy cogiendo cada vez más unión en personas y amigos, unión que antes estaba floja por la distancia, pero que ahora se está fortaleciendo. Sí, me tendréis aquí.

–       Paco, ¿Qué recuerdas tú de Liberto?

–        Para mí era una persona que en poco que lo trataras, ya el tenias definido. Una persona de una sola pieza, delante de todos los aspectos musicales, etc. Sabias que era un amigo y que estaba ahí para lo que te hiciese falta aunque estuviera  tres o cuatro años sin verle. Yo me he alegrado mucho de que la gente de L’Ollería, se acordase de mí para que hablase hoy de Liberto.

–       A Javi le he preguntado, si su hermano era un hombre de todos. ¿Tú crees que fue así?

–       Yo pienso que sí. Pienso que era un hombre sin fronteras, muy comprensivo y muy abierto, motivo por el cual tenía amigos allá donde estaba, independientemente de que era un hombre con gran capacidad de trabajo, por que las obras que él ha dejado hechas, no se improvisan. Yo creo que tenía las dos facetas: Un hombre abierto, comprensivo, pero que al mismo tiempo sabía  lo que quería. Y conseguía que la gente se ilusionase con las ilusiones suyas.

–       ¿Qué me dices de la iniciativa de dedicarle estos festivales anuales?

–       Yo me siento pagado. Pienso que la gente sea agradecida y recuerde a quién ha hecho algo por el. Hasta ahora no era normal, no solía  pasar. La gente se olvida muy pronto. Que un pueblo tenga la ilusión de recordar en un festival de música a una persona como Liberto, para mí creo que es muy importante y pienso que es muy significativo y habla muy bien de L’Ollería.

–       ¿Qué era  Liberto Benet en la Banda de L’Ollería?

–       Liberto Benet fue y es, la actual Banda de Música de L’Ollería, la actual Escuela de educandos, la actual forma política musical de la Banda de L’Ollería y es, todo lo que hoy hay en el Centro Musical.

Liberto fue para mí y los músicos de entonces el que nos abrió las puertas del mundo de la música. Hizo que la música nos gustase. Participar y disfrutar desde una marcha de procesión o pasodoble, hasta la obra más complicada.

Trajo una renovación muy grande a la Banda, la cual se puso a la cabeza de toda la Vall d’Albaida”

–       Parece ser que este festival va a continuar todos los años. ¿Cómo va a ser esto?

–       Desde que murió Liberto, hemos estado buscando un acto musical que llevase su nombre y tuviese continuidad todos los años. Este año ya hemos conseguido realizarlo y por lo tanto es nuestra intención llevarlo a la práctica  todos los años.

-Javi, Com era musicalment el teu germà?
-Era una meravella. Un tio fàcil, molt fàcil. He de ser sincer. Jo encara era molt menor que ell, li he vist poques vegades estudiar. És que era un tio facilíssim. L’instrument que agafava, el clarinet, el saxo … Quan es va presentar a les oposicions de l’Orquestra Municipal de València, en molt poc temps va agafar el Fagoty a tocar de meravella. Igual li donava que fos un compositor que un altre qualsevol. I «jazz», en el saxo també una meravella.

-L’Ollería, el volia. Com era Liberto?
-Ha estat una pèrdua … Jo avui ho he passat malament. El pas malament sobretot quan sento la seva música … És molt fort. El pas molt malament.
– ¿Liberto era de tots?
-Sí. I a més a mi particularment em animava i m’ajudava molt sempre. Fixa’t que ens portàvem deu anys de diferència, que normalment no es té contacte. En ell jo sempre vaig tenir una ajuda moral.Siempre estava ahí.Mi germà sempre hi era.
– ¿Què ha significat per til · iniciativa de fer-li aquests festivals anuals?
-Particularment m’ha agradat molt. És una manera de seguir lligat al meu poble, ja que venir a les festes … 1 vegades pots altres no pots. D’aquesta manera em vindrà de gust venir cada any a veure que passa per aquí, i serà una manera de seguir lligat al meu poble. La veritat és que quan vaig marxar de l’Olleria, pràcticament vaig perdre el contacte amb tot, menys en unes quantes persones amigues. En tornar Liberto, vaig tornar yo.Volví a tocar a la Banda en certàmens i festes. Estic retornant al meu poble de naixement. Serà una forma d’estar aquí cada any. Em tindreu aquí de tant en tant, ja que estic agafant cada vegada més unió en persones i amics, unió que abans estava fluixa per la distància, però que ara s’està enfortint. Sí, em tindreu aquí.
Paco Muñoz.
-Paco, què recordes tu de Liberto?
-Per a mi era una persona que en poc que el tractessis, ja el tenies definit. Una persona d’una sola peça, davant de tots els aspectes musicals, etc. Sabies que era un amic i que estava allà per el que et fes falta encara estuvieratres o quatre anys sense veure-li. Jo m’he alegrat molt que la gent de l’Olleria, s’acordés de mi perquè parlés avui de Liberto.
-A Javi li he preguntat, si el seu germà era un home de tots. Tu creus que va ser així?
-Jo penso que sí. Penso que era un home sense fronteres, molt comprensiu i molt obert, motiu pel qual tenia amics allà on era, independentment que era un home amb gran capacitat de treball, per que les obres que ell ha deixat fetes, no s’improvisen. Jo crec que tenia les dues facetes: Un home obert, comprensiu, però que al mateix temps sabíalo que volia. I aconseguia que la gent es ilusionase amb les il · lusions seves.
– Què em dius de la iniciativa de dedicar-li aquests festivals anuals?
-Jo em sento pagat. Penso que la gent sigui agraïda i recordi a qui ha fet alguna cosa per l’. Fins ara no era normal, no solíapasar. La gent s’oblida molt aviat. Que un poble tingui la il · lusió de recordar en un festival de música a una persona com Liberto, per a mi crec que és molt important i penso que és molt significatiu i parla molt bé de l’Olleria.

– ¿Què eraLiberto Benet en la Banda de l’Olleria?
-Liberto Benet va ser i és, l’actual Banda de Música de l’Olleria, l’actual Escola d’educands, l’actual forma política musical de la Banda de l’Olleria i és, tot el que avui hi ha al Centre Musical.
Liberto va ser per a mi i els músics de llavors el que ens va obrir les portes del món de la música. Va fer que la música ens agradés. Participar i gaudir des d’una marxa de processó o pasdoble, fins a l’obra més complicada.
Va portar una renovació molt gran a la Banda, la qual es va posar al capdavant de tota la Vall d’Albaida »
-Sembla que aquest festival va a continuar tots els anys. Com serà això?
-Des que va morir Liberto, hem estat buscant un acte musical que dugués el seu nom i tingués continuïtat tots els anys. Aquest any ja hem aconseguit realitzar-lo i per tant és la nostra intenció fer-la prácticatodos dels anys.

Javier Benet Martinez.
-Javi, musically What was your brother?
It was a blast. A guy, very easy. I have to be honest. I though it was much smaller than him, I have rarely seen studying. It was a very easy guy. The instrument he picked up, the clarinet, the saxophone … When presented to the oppositions of the Municipal Orchestra of Valencia, in no time took the Fagoty a touch of wonder. Just gave it to be a composer than anyone else. And «jazz» in the sax also wonderful.

-L’Ollería, loved him. What was Liberto?
‘It was a loss … I’ve had a bad day. The wrong way especially when I hear his music … It is very strong. I have a great wrong.
– Liberto was everyone?
-Yes. And I especially encouraged and helped me much good. Note that we brought ten years of difference, usually no contact. In it I always had a help moral.Siempre was ahí.Mi brother was always there.
– What does it mean to tila initiative to make these annual festivals?
-I particularly liked. It’s a way to stay tied to my people, and to come to the party … one times can but others can not. Thus apetecerá I come every year to see what happens here, and will be a way to keep connected with my people. The truth is that when I went to L’Ollería, almost lost touch with everything but a few people friends. Returning Liberto, yo.Volví returned to play in the band at competitions and festivals. I’m returning to my village of birth. It will be a way to be here every year. I will have here from time to time, and I’m taking more and more unity in people and friends, which was previously loose union by distance, but now is getting stronger. Yes, I’ll have here.

-Paco, what do you remember of Liberto?
-For me it was a person that before you tried it, and the tapeworms defined. A person in one piece, in front of all musical aspects, etc.. You knew he was a friend and he was there for what you were necessary but estuvieratres or four years without seeing him. I was so happy that the people of L’Ollería, would remember me to speak today Liberto.
-A Javi I asked if her brother was a man of all. Do you think that was?
-I think so. I think it was a man without borders, very understanding and very open, why had friends wherever he was, whether it was a man with great capacity for work, for which he has left works made, not improvised. I think I had two facets: An open man, understanding, but at the same time sabíalo I wanted. And getting people to ilusionase with his illusions.
– What about the initiative to dedicate these annual festivals?

-Liberto Benet was and is the current Band of L’Ollería, the current School students, the current political form musical band L’Ollería and all that today at the Music Center.
Liberto was for me and the musicians then we opened up the world of music. He made the music we liked. Participate and enjoy from a quickstep march or procession, to the more complicated work.
